Some foods have higher pesticide residues than others. The TOP TEN foods for pesticide residues in the UK according to research* are
 
potatoes, bread, apples, pears, grapes, strawberries, green beans, tomatoes and cucumber

 

What can I do?

If you can‘t afford to buy all your food organic, then these are the ones to consider substituting. Keep eating at least 5 portions of fruit and veg a day, and try eating more of the fruit and veg that contain the least residues. If you can, grow your own.
